Moerane Commission: Gwala wants Bheki Cele to testify
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
The IFP believes former KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Community Safety, Bheki Cele needs to testify at the Moerane Commission of Inquiry, saying some of the political killings took place under his watch.
Testifying at the commission, the IFP's Blessed Gwala hit back at Cele who recently said the commission was just a story-telling exercise.
The country's former top cop, and now Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, also reportedly blamed the IFP for the long-standing culture of political killings in KZN.

Gwala says Cele needs to spend some time in the hot seat.
"Cele should have vital information that he should share with this commission. It does not help when Cele is quoted as blaming the IFP for the long-standing culture of political killings. Why does Cele want to know where the arms caches are? It must be remembered that the IFP leader Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi is on record for making calls for the arms caches to be revealed and handed over to the relevant authorities, but this has never happened," he said.
