Model boss De Villiers' trial nearing an end
Updated | By News24
The prosecution is slowly reaching the end of its cross-examination in the case against model scout, Dawie de Villiers, who stands accused of a string of charges, including the rape of one of his clients.
Yesterday, De Villiers took to the stand in the High Court sitting in Palm Ridge where he was once again subjected to the sturdy cross-examination of prosecutor, Arveena Persad.
Persad questioned De Villiers on charges relating to possession of child pornography and accessing child porn. De Villiers faces charges of exposing two children, aged 7 and 10, to pornography.
An important witness in the case against De Villiers was his ex-wife, who claimed to have found explicit images of one of her husband's alleged victims in 2009.
De Villiers has denied all the charges against him, including rape, sexual assault, indecent assault, sexual grooming, fraud and theft.
He was expected back on the stand again today where Persad was to continue with her cross-examination.
