Mnangagwa warns against corruption in inaugural speech
Newly-elected President Emmerson Mnangagwa says corruption has no place in Zimbabwe.
He declared war on corruption during his inauguration at the national sports grounds on the outskirts of Harare yesterday.
Mnangagwa addressed thousands of people who packed into the stadium, saying the corrupt must be brought to book.
"We have to aspire to be a clean nation with high moral standards. On these ideals, our administration declares full commitment warning that [penalties] await those who depart from the path of virtue," he says.

Mnangagwa was sworn in after Robert Mugabe resigned on Tuesday following a military takeover last week.
Mugabe had been in power for 37 years.
