Mmusi Maimane held at gunpoint in Cape Town bar
Updated | By Algoa FM and Newswatch
One South Africa Movement leader Mmusi Maimane says he's traumatised following an armed robbery he was involved in at a bar in Claremont on Wednesday evening.

Maimane said barely 30 minutes after he and his brother-in-law arrived at the bar shortly before 8pm, three gunmen stormed the venue, pulled out firearms and robbed patrons at every table.
He described the moment as 'surreal' and felt like a scene out of a movie.
"The post effects are actually traumatic. You think of what could have been. Crime in our nation is out of control. I wonder and lament the lives of all people that were shot at a tavern. They like us went out to have a drink and they lost their lives.
"I have greater thoughts for all those families today, even more so. I worry about crime in our nation. It's truly out of hand. The police arrived promptly and we went through the process of statements etc. I must be honest, not sure those guys will get arrested. I hope so. It will be less criminals on the road.
"I don't give up on our crime, we have to fight. We have to ensure policing is effective and the criminal justice system works."
