Mlangeni has spoken of their devastation at the struggle stalwart’s death
The last remaining Rivonia trialist and African National Congress (ANC) elder died at 1 Military Hospital in Tshwane at the age of 95 on Tuesday evening.
He spent over two decades on Robben Island after his conviction at the Rivonia Treason Trial in 1964.
Mlangeni’s daughter Sylvia has described her father as a humble fighter.

"We are very devastated, it's very sad, we are deeply hurt.
"I will always remember his charisma, jokes. He was very active and strong despite being ill, he was a fighter. He loved people, he loved the nation and he was a very humble person."
Mlangeni is survived by three children and nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
