Former health minister and ANC MP Zweli Mkhize has been
cleared of wrongdoing by Parliament in relation to the Digital Vibes contract.
Parliament’s Executive Ethics Committee has found that Mkhize did not personally benefit from Digital Vibes.
Lawmakers have cleared Mkhize of contravening its Code of Ethics.
The committee says he cannot be held liable for his adult son benefiting from Digital Vibes contract.

DA MP Siviwe Gwarube filed a complaint with the ethics committee saying Mkhize received benefits from Digital Vibes for electrical work done at his home.
“The whole finding that these things are not a violation of the code, in our view, is a very narrow application of the code. We are quite disappointed by the findings. Dr Mkhize remains a member of Parliament, we will therefore keep a close eye on the proceedings of the SIU and the investigation by the Hawks into this matter,” says Gwarube.
The committee says it has closed the matter.
