MK party’s Visvin Reddy to appear in court for inciting violence

uMkhonto weSizwe Party member Visvin Reddy will appear in the Chatsworth Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.
Reddy is accused of inciting violence.
In a video posted on social media, Reddy threatened that there would be civil unrest should the party not appear on the ballot paper of the May general election.
He made the comments when the ANC challenged the IEC's registration of the MK party, arguing that it was done unlawfully.

The Electoral Court dismissed the ruling party's application last week, saying it had not made its case on why the new political formation should be deregistered.
In another matter involving the MK party's use of the name and the logo, judgment was reserved by the Durban High Court last week.
The ANC claims the new party stole its intellectual property.
