MK Party member shot dead in Umlazi
The uMkhonto WeSizwe Party is demanding justice for a member who was gunned down at Tehuis hostel in Umlazi, south of Durban.
The party's coordinator in eThekwini Vusumuzi Ndlovu was shot and killed on Saturday night.
Ndlovu was returning from an MK Party meeting when unknown gunmen ambushed him.
The MK Party has urged leaders of political parties in the province to desist from making reckless statements that may inflame tensions in the run-up to the May elections.
Meanwhile, provincial police spokesperson Thenjiswa Ngcobo says circumstances leading up to the incident are being investigated.
"The 43-year-old man was allegedly shot and killed at a hostel in Umlazi. The deceased was with a friend when he was murdered in the parking lot."
