Mixed reaction to new minimum wage

The new minimum wage - that comes into effect next month - has left some people questioning its value.
The Labour Department says the hourly national minimum wage rate will go up by 76 cents to R20.76.
The minimum pay for domestic workers is now R15.57 an hour. Farmworkers can't earn less than R18.68 per hour.

Phumelele Ncungama, a lecturer, says it's not enough.
"It doesn't make much of a difference. It's not enough to cover our daily and living expenses."
Nurse, Nomvelo Tembe says the hike will help.
"The implement of R20 by the hour is going to be very beneficial to us. You can now afford a litre of petrol and bread on a daily basis."
