Missing Shakaskraal toddler found

A toddler who went missing near his home in Shakaskraal on the KZN north coast has been found.

The 21-month-old boy was last seen in the eTete area on Monday afternoon.
IPSS Medical Rescue's Samantha Meyrick says various emergency teams joined the search for the child.
"The search resumed early this morning [Wednesday] with SAPS K9 Search and Rescue and IPSS Search and Rescue division.
"The toddler was located approximately one kilometre from his home, with the use of a thermal drone piloted by PACSys .
"The toddler was found to be in a critical condition and is currently being stabilised by an IPSS Medical Rescue Advanced Life Support paramedic before he will be transported to an appropriate facility for further care."
