Missing farmer's body found in sugarcane field in Canelands

Harrowing details have emerged of another deadly attack on a KwaZulu-Natal farmer.
Police have discovered the body of Verulam's Manna Naidoo in a sugarcane field in Canelands, north of Durban.
His hands and legs were tied, and he'd been shot multiple times.
Spokesperson Nqobile Gwala says the 74-year-old's daughter, who reported him missing on Wednesday night, went to their Cottonlands farm to check on her father.

"When she arrived, she noticed that the house keys were on the floor. She also noticed that the safe was open, cash and firearms that were inside were stolen and the bakkie was also taken."
The Inkatha Freedom Party's Thokozile Gumede wants farm killings classified as urgent cases.
"With the incidents that are happening, they are going to be scared. Nobody would like to risk his or her life in farming."
