Updated | By Sandile Bhengu
Minister of Cooperative Governance Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma believes that government has put sufficient safeguards in place to avoid a repeat of PPE corruption during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Several ministers gave a briefing on the state of disaster declared over the electricity crisis on Friday.
Dlamini-Zuma said there will be real-time audits by the auditor-general throughout, and departments will also have to account to Parliament monthly.

"Going to Parliament every month is going to be very helpful because then people will know that they have to account to the nation.
"Because if you go to Parliament, they are accounting to the nation and questions will be asked. It won't be just a report.
"But should there be any problem, you know that again learning from what happened during earlier days of Covid, the Fusion Centre was established, which has all the security and people who can take cases up."
