Ministers appointed, dismissed with good reason: Zuma
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
President Jacob Zuma says each time a minister has been appointed or removed from a position, it has not been without reason.
The president was fielding questions in parliament yesterday where he dismissed a number of allegations including that the rand took a slump as a reaction to the axing of Nhlanhla Nene as Finance Minister.
He said said there's nothing unusual about markets reacting to such developments.
Zuma says every appointment of a minister has been thought through.
"There are always reasons that lead to - if for example, a Minister has had to be shifted or redeployed - there are reasons that lead top that.
"There is no action in terms of removal, replacing or appointing Ministers that comes without reasons why that is done. There were reasons," he said.
