Minister appeals to students ahead of exams
Updated | By Zongile Mthimkhulu
Minister of Higher Education, Blade Nzimande is pleading with students not to throw away an entire academic year by hindering end of year exams.

The comment comes as some students from Wits and the University of the Western Cape have vowed to continue with their protests, saying not all of their demands have been met.
Apart from free, quality education management at Wits says students also want an end to the outsourcing of support staff among other things.
Nzimande met with student leaders in Johannesburg yesterday, reminding them that they'd already achieved an important victory by securing a 0% fee increase for next year.
His spokesperson Khaye Nkwanyane says any concerns can be raised amicably.
"If there any other issues they want to raise with us as government, their leadership can raise those concerns with us while they are still in class so that they don't suffer in terms of not writing exams which will affect their qualification," he said.
