Millions in bribes paid to obtain tenders: Agrizzi
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Former Bosasa COO, Angelo Agrizzi has given the State Capture Inquiry more details on how the company paid out bribes on a monthly basis to government officials in an attempt to win and extend tenders.
Yesterday, Agrizzi told the commission that between four and six million rand a month in bribe money was paid in cash to officials.
He has today admitted to the commission most of the facilities management company's contracts were influenced by bribes.
Agrizzi says bribed officials were also paid to keep quiet.
"Because it buys loyalty, you feel important and you are caught up in a cult," Agrizzi said.
