Midlands crash claims man’s life

One person's died after being hit by a vehicle in the Midlands.
A bakkie that was transporting several people broke down on the N3 at Nottingham Road on Sunday.
Midlands EMS spokesperson Roland Robertson says while the occupants were trying to flag down passing vehicles, another bakkie carrying people crashed into them entrapping two of them.
The rest suffered injuries.

"A second patient sustained critical injuries and required advanced life support treatment. Multiple patients were treated on scene before being transported to various hospitals for further care."
In a separate incident, a KZN traffic officer is being treated for critical injuries in hospital this morning.
Robertson says the officer was hurt while attending an accident scene in Estcourt.
