Police Minister, Bheki Cele visited the family at their Umlazi home, south of Durban yesterday.

Family spokesperson, Siyabonga Meyiwa says they have been constantly communicating with detectives about Senzo's case.

"We understand the complexities of a high profile case like this. However, we are still confident, based on the briefings that we are receiving from the police investigative unit as well as the Minister who took the time to be with us."

Senzo Meyiwa was shot dead in Vosloorus, outside Johannesburg in October 2014.

The shooting, allegedly a botched armed robbery, took place at night at his girlfriend, Kelly Khumalo's house.
