Metro Police monitoring Durban roads amid load shedding
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
Durban Metro Police say they have intensified traffic management operations during bouts of loadshedding in and around the city.

Eskom's rotational blackouts have caused major issues on the roads - especially during peak periods in areas where traffic lights are out.
Officers say more pointsmen will be deployed to busy intersections to ease congestion.
"The plan to manage traffic by metro police is in place to man certain strategic intersections within the city. We cannot cover all the intersections within the city. We can cover the most strategic ones. We are also looking at CCTV cameras to look at which intersections we need to manage in terms of traffic flow," spokesperson, Parboo Sewpersadh said.
