Police are on high alert following another early morning protest at the University of KZN's Westville campus.
"Yes, there has been a protest action. We are not sure what the reason is behind it. Metro police have been deployed,” says eThekwini metro police spokesperson Parboo Sewpersad.
On Friday, the varsity condemned the demonstration and destruction of property at Westville after dozens of protesters stormed the campus from Varsity Drive.

Management says security officers who tried to prevent the group from entering the institution were pelted with stones.
"The guardhouse and a car belonging to the university were damaged. UKZN has reiterated that all registrations are being processed online,” it said in a statement.
