Metro cops monitor Durban protest

Durban Metro Police are on the scene of a protest in Springfield Park.

The protest is by group of workers from the Department of Water and Sanitation.
They say they are not being paid what they deserve.
They have placed concrete blocks on Electron Road, preventing refuse trucks and other municipal vehicles from accessing the area.
Metro Police spokesperson Parboo Sewpersadh says the workers are upset over grading and pay structures.
