Members switch parties as municipal elections loom
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Approximately 200 former ANC members in KZN have joined the DA.

The opposition party says among those who have defected are ANC Branch Executive Committee members and Ward Co-ordinators.
DA constituency head for Umgungundlovu East Dean Macpherson was among those who welcomed the new members in Richmond yesterday.
He says most of the new members come from rural areas where service delivery remains an issue.
"They are the people that are being left behind as the economy begins to slow down more and more, food prices and prices of electricity and water escalate rapidly," he says.
Meanwhile, it's been reported that Lindela Tshwete, the eldest son of ANC activist and former Sports Minister Steve Tshwete, has joined the DA in Cape Town.
