Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Social workers are on their way to the home of a four-year-old Msinga girl who was raped, allegedly by her grandfather.

According to KZN Social Development spokesperson Mhlabunzima Memela, the attack took place a week ago, at a home in Nkalane in the Midlands.
"The information that we have received is that the man has not yet been arrested, but the police are working on the case. It's a very disturbing incident," he said.
Memela says the social workers will meet with the family and provide counselling to the child and her grandmother.
"The MEC has expressed shock and she is calling for the arrest of the alleged perpetrator. Children cannot be abused by the relatives that they are suppose to be protesting them," he said.
