Mchunu to speak at KZN crime summit
Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka
Community Safety MEC Willies Mchunu will address the Ndundulu community near Melmoth in northern KwaZulu-Natal today during the opening of a two-day crime summit.

The department says recent criminal activity in the area has prompted the sitting.
Education officials, the Department of Justice, police and the National Prosecuting Authority will work with residents to identify the nature of crimes plaguing the community.
Mchunu's spokesperson Sipho Khumalo says this can yield positive results.
"We recently went to a place called Maqonqo. That evening, the community decided to go together with the police and raided a home which was housing a number of criminals.
"We discovered a lot of illegal things that had been stolen. The whole idea is to ensure that local communities set up crime-fighting structures from the grass root level so that they begin to work together with the police," he said.
