'Mchunu must address the issue of unavailability of licensing offices'
Updated | By Khatija Nxedlana
The South African National Taxi Council (Santaco) says it wants to hear how much the Transport Department will invest in roads. MEC Willies Mchunu is delivering his budget this afternoon.

Santaco Chairperson in KZN, Boy Zondi said their vehicles are being damaged by worn-out roads.
Zondi says they're also interested in hearing what will be done to make licensing offices more accessible to avoid taxi drivers travelling long distances to one central office in the province as well as what measures will be put in place to reduce taxi violence.
"We have ironed out all the issues that we think were affecting the taxi industry. There is something that will be announced by the MEC on 29 April. So we'll be seeing good things with regards to taxi violence in the future," he said.
