Another brush with police for Mcebo Dlamini
Updated | By Suné du Toit
Student activist Mcebo Dlamini has been taken in for questioning by police this morning. Dlamini has been very vocal during the Fees Must Fall campaign. His legal team has confirmed the events.
Dlamini was subsequently released.
He was taken from his residence at around 5.00am this morning.
Dlamini earlier sent out an SMS claiming he was arrested.
Dlamini was earlier granted bail after he was arrested on several charges - including assault, damage to property and theft relating to violent protests at Wits.
He will be back in court on 15 June 2017, pending his application to the High Court to have the charges dropped.
Dlamini maintains that the charges against him are politically motivated.
