Mbewana murder bail application postponed
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
The case against the man accused of murdering socialite Mluleki Mbewana has been postponed until next week.

Jonas Tsautse made his second appearance at the Durban Magistrate’s Court on Friday. The State applied for a 7 day adjournment for further investigation. Tsautse handed himself over to police on Tuesday. The state prosecutor told the court there are a number of issues.
He said they’re not ready to proceed with the bail application as they still need to verify the various addresses submitted by Tsautse and Home Affairs still needs to confirm his citizenship. The defence advocate opposed the request for a postponement.
32-year-old Mbewana was shot outside a nightclub in Springfield two-and-a-half weeks ago, allegedly after an altercation with Tsautse.
A devastated Khulekani Sishi hopes that justice will be served for his best friend.
"I think they do need more time so that they will be able to get clarity and more information. We just hope he will get what he deserved", he said.
"He was such a fun guy who was helpful to his family and everyone. We just can't believe he is gone", Sishi said.
