The Independent Institute of Education says it's never too early to start preparing for the final matric exams.

It has urged pupils from the Class of 2024 to begin studying for the crucial year-end papers if they haven’t already.
Matrics will sit for their final National Senior Certificate exams at the end of October.
The institution's Yathika Gowpall encouraged pupils to draw up a study plan.

"It could boost students' confidence, reduce their stress levels, and ensure that they perform to the best of their ability to secure the grades that they require to pursue their desired academic and career paths."
She said there are a multitude of benefits when pupils start exam preparation early.
"So these exams don't only test knowledge and understanding of subjects that students study throughout the year but, directly or indirectly, they also develop important fields like critical thinking, time management and problem-solving. So, preparation for these exams needs to start right away."
