Mashatile: The war is not over
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
ANC Chairperson in Gauteng, Paul Mashatile says the ANC's National Executive Committee might still revisit its position on President Jacob Zuma.
The ANC in the province called on President Zuma 'to do the right thing' following the Constitutional Court's Nkandla judgement.
The call, which was seen as a veiled request for President Zuma to step down, was shot down by the ruling party's NEC.
Mashatile is attending the Save South Africa general assembly against corruption and state capture in the country this morning.
He has consistently voiced his support for Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan, and says while they have won the first battle, the war is not over.
"Those organisations who continue to mobilise against corruption, state capture etc. must be supported and these activities must continue," says Mashatile.
