Marshalltown ‘arsonist’ to visit crime scene

The lawyer representing the man who confessed to starting the deadly Usindiso fire says his client is cooperating with investigators.

More than 70 people died when the blaze ripped through the hijacked Marshalltown building in Johannesburg last year.
Lawrence Mdlalose was arrested last week after he confessed to starting the fire.

The NPA's Phindi Mjonondwana's confirmed the suspect is expected to revisit the crime scene.
"The case against Mdlalose was postponed for March 6 for further investigations. We have also given instructions to the South African Police Service to conduct a pointing out with the accused person."
