The national inquiry is in it's last day at the Durban ICC and supermarket, Spar is currently presenting before the commission chairs.

One of the chairs Lulama Mtanga, a competition law expert says while there have been challenges - they are pleased with the submissions that some groups have made.

"There were about four or five gentlemen yesterday coming from SATA representing operators at the Chartsworth Centre - that was also another significant contribution. It was an umbrella body of 58 other organisations," she said.

Other areas of retail discussed during the inquiry included the sale of counterfeit goods and business fraud.
