Mark Zinde's bail revoked following another arrest

The R10 000 bail granted to murder-accused Mark Warona Zinde has been formally revoked in the Brits Magistrate's Court in North West.
Zinde is accused of killing his mother, former South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) board member Hope Zinde, whose body was found stuffed in the boot of her vehicle at their Pecanwood Estate in Hartebeespoort in June.
The defence did not oppose the application by the state to revoke his bail, following his arrest on a different charge in Gauteng last month.
Last week Zinde, 23, appeared in the Vereeniging Magistrate's Court, where he faced a charge of assault for allegedly attacking his father, Dr Lesley Manoto, at their Walkerville home on 6 November.
"I have a report from a doctor saying that Mr Zinde's mental state is not good," says Zinde's lawyer Francois Venter.
Venter says Zinde suffers from schizophrenia and will be referred back to Weskoppies Psychiatric Hospital.
