Maritzburg crash leaves child, 4, in serious condition
A child injured in a single-vehicle crash in Edendale, Pietermaritzburg, has been airlifted to hospital.
Seven people, including three children, were injured, when the bakkie veered off the road and landed in a ditch.
A four-year-old girl was seriously injured. She was airlifted to hospital for further treatment.
Four others were treated for minor to moderate injuries and later taken to a nearby hospital.
Meanwhile, five people have been hurt after a taxi overturned in Edendale, outside Pietermaritzburg this morning.
ER24 says the passengers managed to climb out of the vehicle, which was found lying on its side in the middle of the Edendale Road just after 7am.
