Updated | By Steve Bhengu
A woman is recovering in hospital from the severe injuries she sustained after falling from a two-storey building on Marine Drive in Margate, on the South Coast, yesterday afternoon.

"Once paramedics managed to stabilise her the fire department then had to assist in putting up a rope system from the balcony from which she fell and then hoist her back up there and inside the building," he said.
"Once inside the building they put her on a stretcher and took her down the stairway to an ambulance. She was in a serious condition and paramedics transported her under the care of Advanced Life Support paramedics to a hospital for further care," Botha said.
