Marchers appeal to MPs in upcoming motion of no confidence vote
Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka
Members of Parliament are being urged to vote with their conscience and with the country's interest at heart in the upcoming motion of no confidence debate against the president in the National Assembly.

This as thousands of ordinary South Africans across the country took to the streets on Friday with some calling for the removal of President Jacob Zuma and others pledging their unwavering support for him.
Durban resident, Jason Barber, was among those who spoke at the DA march in the city. He says MPs must do the right thing.

"The Motion of No Confidence must go through every single member of Parliament and [we'll] tell them - if they do not remove that man, we will remove them. We will call for fresh elections and make ourselves heard," he said.
South Africans in London also joined in the march yesterday - see below.
