Man's body found at Umhlanga lagoon

The body of a man has been found at the Umhlanga lagoon, north of Durban.

Emergency services say the man, believed to be in his 30s, was spotted by passers-by this morning.
Netcare911's Shawn Herbst says eThekwini lifeguards recovered the body.
"Lifeguards had alerted emergency services. The patient was assessed on scene by paramedics and found to have no signs of life and was declared deceased," said Herbst.
"The circumstances leading up to the man being found are unknown. However, SAPS was on scene and are investigating."
