Man's body found near Battery Beach

An inquest docket has been opened after a body was found near Durban's Battery Beach.

KwaZulu-Natal police say the 35-year-old man was found on Monday behind a wall at the old Natal Command Military Base.

The body was recovered by the SAPS's search and rescue team, along with the Durban K9 unit.
Police say they are investigating the circumstances around the man's death.
