A manhunt is underway for a foreign national who has been described as the main suspect in a R3 million Durban drug bust.

On Friday, officers from the Narcotics Unit raided a flat in the city centre and seized 48kg of cocaine. A 30-year-old woman, thought to be the main suspect's partner, was arrested.
Police also found more than R700 000 in cash in the flat. The police's Thulani Zwane says the woman is due in the Durban Magistrates Court tomorrow facing charges of drug possession.
"She was arrested by members of the Durban Flying Squad Narcotics Team after they received information that there was someone dealing in drugs at a certain flat in the Durban CBD," he said.
"Members proceeded to the said flat and when they searched it they found cocaine with a street value of more than R3 million," Zwane said.
