Manhunt for Pinetown ATM bombing suspects

The Hawks believe a syndicate could be behind Saturday morning's ATM bombing in Pinetown.

Six ATMs belonging to a major bank were blast open with the suspects fleeing with a cash amount estimated to be over R1-million.
The robbers gained access to the ATM's, situated at the corner of Moodie Street and Dales Avenue, through a neighbouring business. A manhunt is currently underway for the suspects.
Hawks spokesperson Hangwani Mulaudzi such heists are an unusual occurrence in KZN and he believes a syndicate might be operating.
"There is a serious concern from our side because we've seen that these explosives are now getting into criminal hands and it is critical that we make sure that we take them out. Hence, we have a team now that is working on this case to make sure that we get the criminals responsible for these ATM bombings," he said.
