Manhunt launched for suspect involved in alleged child rape in Eshowe

Officers from Eshowe have launched a manhunt for a suspect, wanted in connection with a child rape case.

Members of the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit are trying to locate 39-year-old Simphiwe Dube from the KwaMfana area.
He allegedly raped a teenager, aged 15, and has been on the run since January. Police spokesperson, Nqobile Gwala says a court's issued a warrant of arrest.

"A case of rape was opened at Eshowe police station and the docket was transferred to the Eshowe FCS Unit for further investigation."
