The Hawks are trying to track down the gang behind a cash-in-transit heist in northern KwaZulu-Natal.

The Hawks are trying to track down the gang behind a cash-in-transit heist in northern KwaZulu-Natal.
A group of men opened fire on a vehicle on the R34 on Monday, bringing it to a halt.
Spokesperson Simphiwe Mhlongo says the security van had been transporting cash from Ulundi to Richards Bay.
"They used explosives to blow the vault and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
"During the robbery, they also fled the scene with one firearm of the security guards.
"No arrests have been made at this stage."
