Manhunt for 'dangerous' awaiting trial prisoner
KZN police have launched a manhunt for an awaiting trial prisoner who escaped from custody at eShowe Court on Friday.
They have described Lungelo Nzuza as dangerous. The 23-year-old faces charges of rape, attempted murder and two counts of house robbery.
SAPS spokesperson, Thembeka Mbhele says Nzuza is originally from Lambothi in Nyoni.
"Members of the community who have knowledge of the whereabouts of the suspect are urged not to approach him as he is dangerous", she said.
"Instead we encourage community members to contact the investigating officer, Sergeant Mbabane, on 079 946 7082 or alternatively our Crime Stop number which is 08600 10 111", Mbhele said.
