Manhunt continues for Arbour Crossing robbery suspects
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
A police manhunt is continuing for the remaining suspects involved in yesterday's armed robbery at Arbour Crossing, south of Durban.
Security guards confronted the gang of about 10 robbers who had targeted Pick n Pay and Cash Crusaders. This led to a shootout and the arrests of two suspects. As the search continued another two were nabbed.
Firearms were found near the scene of the crime as well as two vehicles used by the robbers. These are believed to have been stolen from Durban North and Newlands East.
The police’s Jay Naicker says the docket has been handed over to provincial investigators.
"Four suspects are in custody and are being questioned by detectives at this stage", he said.
"We are quite confident there will be more arrests from this investigation", Naicker said.
