Manhunt for 'bogus' healer after alleged rape

Police say the 26-year-old woman opened a case after the healer allegedly forced himself on her when she refused to have sex with him 'in order to complete a ritual'. 

The woman says she had paid the healer R30 000 during her first consultation last week. 

The Pietermaritzburg police's Mthokozisi Ngobese says they found a man who claimed to be the healer's assistant at his Allandale residence.

''His accomplice was arrested for theft however the suspect is still at large. If there is anyone who might have information on his whereabouts, we will gladly receive it,'' he said.
