Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
A police manhunt has been launched in KZN for the suspects involved in the shooting of two officers in separate incidents over the weekend.

A warrant officer was shot dead on Saturday while approaching a group of suspected robbers with a colleague in Empangeni, inland of Richards Bay.
Neran Ramsoorap was shot in the chest during the confrontation and died on the way to hospital.
Meanwhile in KwaMashu, an officer was hurt yesterday morning while following a suspicious looking vehicle during a routine patrol.
Police spokesperson Jay Naicker says the suspects allegedly opened fire when the officers approached their vehicle.
"One of the policeman was shot in the neck. He was airlifted to hospital. The suspect then fled the scene. Police reinforcements have been called into the area and a manhunt is underway for the four suspects," he said.
