Manguzi community to hear Police Ministry's solutions to cross-border crime
Updated | By Lethiwe Mdluli
Community members in Manguzi, in northern KZN, will meet with the Police Minister again this afternoon.
Residents there embarked on a week long protest earlier this month. Shops, schools and public facilities were shut down.
The community called for an end to crime, specifically vehicle theft.
The minister's spokesperson, Vuyo Mhaga, says they've come up with a strategy to deal with crime in the area.

"The minister will go to the community to respond to the cross-border crime in particular - the vehicles that are being stolen from the South African territory to the Mozambican territory.
"There are things that need to be done in both Mozambique and South Africa," he says.
Manguzi is situated next to the Mozambican border and locals say criminals are using the town as a hideout.
