Mangosuthu Highway protest causes chaos for motorists, MUT community
Updated | By Portia Cele
The hours-long protest on Mangosuthu Highway in Umlazi is causing an inconvenience for motorists and MUT students and staff.

A service delivery demonstration's been underway since the early hours of this morning.
Metro police are now clearing debris, tree branches and burning tyres from the roadway.
Azwi Mufamadi, who's with the Mangosuthu University Technology, says one lane heading towards Durban has been open to traffic.
"Staff and students are now being dropped off by their transport - far away from the university and have to make this journey by foot. We are talking about a kilometre and a half away from the university. In normal circumstances, they will be dropped right at the door," he said.
