Mandla Mandela calls for SA's Israel mission to be shut

Mandla Mandela says the South African government must close its embassy in Tel Aviv.
He addressed pro-Palestine protesters on Friday who marched through the streets of Durban.
"We want to only see one embassy standing and that is the one in Ramallah, Palestinian. Let us send a clear message as South Africans today to our president.
"You have heard the call of South Africans right across political lines, religious formations."
The march follows the recent Israeli-Palestinian conflict in which more than 200 people, mostly Palestinians, were killed.

Mandela says has asked if enough is being done to support the people of Palestine.

Social Development Minister, Lindiwe Zulu says the issues raised have been heard.
"We have heard the speakers calling for our government to take firmer action because we have been taking resolution after resolution and the more we take resolutions the more it seems like Israeli Apartheid State decides that is going to show us otherwise.
"We hear your voices. We hear you. I am here representing the African National Congress."
Meanwhile, the UN Human Rights Council has decided to create an open-ended international investigation into violations surrounding the latest Gaza violence, and into "systematic" abuses in the Palestinian territories and inside Israel.
