Luyanda Msomi and Njabulo Mankayi were found on Saturday and yesterday respectively after the best friends disappeared near their school in Clairwood last week.

Luyanda's mother, Nomusa has told Newswatch that they want answers for the brutal killing of the children.

The police's Thembeka Mbhele says the first suspect, a 28-year-old woman, is facing two counts of murder, kidnapping and assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm.

"One suspect appeared in Durban court yesterday - the case has been remanded to November 20 for bail application. Another one was only arrested on Saturday. There's a male and female appearing on court today," she says.

Mbhele says officials are hoping to complete post-mortem examinations this week - to determine the exact cause of death.

The motive for the killings is not known at this stage but Mbhele has confirmed one accused is known to one of the boys' fathers.
