Updated | By Jarryd Subroyen
A man has been rushed to hospital following an armed robbery at a jewellery store in Umhlanga, north of Durban.
Gunmen smashed the windows of the shop on Chartwell Drive and grabbed valuables before making off.
Netcare 911's Shawn Herbst says a patron was injured.
"One adult male in his early forties sustained a head injury. We are unable to determine whether he was shot or pistol-whipped, but he does have a large wound on his head. He is fine and is talking," Herbst said.
