Man suffers multiple wounds in Durban CBD shooting

Authorities are on the scene of a shooting incident in the Durban CBD.

Life Response paramedics say a man suffered multiple wounds on Thursday morning, at the intersection of Moore Road and Maydon Wharf.
The service's Leon Fourie says according to bystanders, multiple gunshots were heard before the man fell to the ground.
"When we arrived, we found that there was a large number of people, Metro Police, SAPS, that were on the scene.

"Advanced life support paramedics stabilised the patient on the scene before calling aeromedical to fly the patient out to a medical facility.
"It is unclear why the person was shot and who the shooter is," says Fourie.
With investigations getting off the ground, no one’s been arrested yet.
Metro police spokesperson, Parboo Sewpersad has shared some insight into the incident.
It’s information gathered by their members when they arrived on the scene.
"Upon arrival they found a 37-year-old male with four gunshot wounds. It is alleged that he was going to work when he was shot by an unknown person," says Sewpersad.
